Family Law

At the law offices of Estelle Flynn Lord, we have 33 years of legal experience in representing clients in divorce and family law. The first step is to arrange for an initial consultation with the attorney. During that initial consultation, we take the time to learn the intricacies of your case and to explain to you the legal issues we see are involved. We determine a course of action with you to best achieve your objectives, consistent with the laws within the State of New Jersey, and what you see as the best course of action to protect your family.
If you are about to get married, we can prepare and/or review a PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENT which is designed to protect both parties future interests in the event of future separation and/or divorce.
If you are currently married and need immediate FINANCIAL SUPPORT from a spouse, we can assist you in seeking financial support from your spouse who is not supporting your family.
If you have decided to SEPARATE or get a DIVORCE, we will assist you in seeking alimony, child support and equitable distribution of the marital assets and debts.
If you were never married, but have children, we will assist you with paternity issues, as well as custody, visitation and child support.
Often, after an arrangement has been entered into, one of the other parties has a change in circumstance or fails to abide by a prior agreement or court order. We can assist you in seeking enforcement or modification of a prior order or judgment.
In this fast paced world, where people must change jobs and move out of state, issues can arise regarding child custody and visitation. Our firm deals with these complex and emotionally trying issues on a regular basis. We present to the Court the issues of our client and seek a resolution which represents client's interests and the best interest of the children involved.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE is taken very seriously by the family Courts in New Jersey. Our representation reflects the seriousness of every such allegation. It is important that, if you are currently being abused, you call 911 immediately. Thereafter, we will represent you through every step of the process. If you have been accused of an act of domestic violence we will aggressively represent your legal interests.
